Awesome Heavy Duty Kicking Shields

I have ordered heavy shields for many decades. Over the last couple of years I have been replacing our old shields with these. They are well made, fun to kick and are designed to take heavy, powerful, fast hits.
Some instructors like to have the side straps. For me personally, I do not like the side straps. I have always told my students to not use the side straps to hold heavy kicking shields. Those of us who have held wood for kickers have experienced the pain to our fingers and wrists when kickers wildly miss the target. Black belts and red belts kick hard. Many gups kick hard too. Sometimes kickers wildly miss this large shields and the kicks go right by on the sides of these shields. I do not want students to hold on the sides of these types of shields because if they do and they get hit by a kick it is not good.
Having the straps behind the shield is a safety feature that I appreciate. Students cannot hold on the sides.

Missing Grip

The shield is durable and thick for good kicking but is missing the straps from the sides like the Century Shields.They move too much when you grab them allow them to move while kicking. If they add a grip on the sides will be the perfect shield.
