Being a martial artist since 1982, the Onyx and Matrix uniforms are by far my favorite. They are lightweight but i can still make them do the 'pop' noise when kicking or punching. They have thoughtful ventilation holes in the armpit area and an extra section of cloth stitched into the groin demonstrating that these were created by a martial artist for martial artists. I wear these daily and have never had any wardrobe malfunctions, rips, nor tears. These move comfortable with my body and don't stick to my skin when I sweat. My daily preference for instructing classes is the Matrix uniform, while I wear an Onyx for events and traveling. The Onyx is slightly heavier but looks shaper for testings, attending seminars, etc.
I am 5'9" and wear a size 180. I only had to take a hem of about 1" from the bottons to ensure they fit perfectly and i'm not stepping on them. The top fits perfect.

I admit I was sceptical about the new matrix uniform. I've always been in the student style uniform and have become comfortable using them. However, since I tested for 4th Dan, I had to get an entirely new uniform collection.
I chose the matrix because a good friend said he liked how they moved when he did patterns.
The uniform is very comfortable and it moves with you. It also has that "snap" when you kick or punch.
I especially like that I am able to order tops and bottoms seperate as I'm short in the legs and broad in the shoulders.
So 180 bottom with 190 tops will be perfecr for me (going forward).

I've had my Matrix Dobok for more than 6 months now and it still looks like new. On top of wearing it through regular training, I've worn it to a few tournaments and an IIC at this point and love it. Not only is it the lightest I own by a county mile (and I own several of the top of the line models from the other top manufacturers), but it wears more comfortably with less of the sweaty stick and I sweat more than the average person. To top it off, this dobok has worn better and shown more durability than the other manufacturers in spite of the light weight.
Since getting my first from Mighty Fist, I have not turned back! Best quality, lightest weight and great service!

This is the best dobok i've ever wear.

When I first saw the Matrix dobok I said to everyone in my dojang that I would never wear this strange fabric - I'm quite set in my ways and don't like change, especially after 23 years of wearing a certain type of dobok. But only fools never change their minds! I really love my new Matrix dobok and I'm the first in my dojang to have one ;). The fabric is light, comfortable, breathable and the fit is perfect!
